What is tesamorelin?
Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH): the full 44 amino acids of human GHRH with a trans-3-hexenoyl group at the N-terminus, which makes the molecule more stable against enzymatic degradation. At 5136 g/mol, it is much larger than most peptides in this catalog. CAS 218949-48-5.
Research and registration
Unlike most compounds here, tesamorelin has been evaluated as a medicinal product by a regulatory authority: in 2010, it was approved in the United States for one specific indication in HIV patients. As a result, its pharmacological profile is unusually well documented in clinical studies.
